Arusha Mwanza safari is a great Tanzania Safari package brings you to the northern circuit and lake Victoria including Tarangire national park, Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Rubondo Island, You can do it in Public campsite OR Lodge/Tented Camp
You will be picked up at your hotel and start your approximate two hour journey to the Tarangire National Park. The park, with its savannah, seasonal swamps and baobab trees, is well known for its large number of elephant herds. During the dry seasons the Tarangire River, being one of the main sources of water in the area, attract various animals, such as bushbucks, hartebeests and giraffes from not only the park itself but the neighbouring Lake Manyara National Park. After an extensive game drive, enjoyed from the open roof of the vehicle, you will leave the park and travel to a nearby campsite, where you will overnight.
Day 2: Tarangire-Ngorongoro Crater
An early start is on the agenda today as you make your way to the Ngorongoro Crater. Once you have reached the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will descend down an adventurous path into the 600m caldera. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979, this massive collapsed volcano is home to over 25 000 mammals such as spotted hyenas and the “Big Five” – elephant, rhino, buffalo, leopard and lion. You will enjoy lunch at a picnic spot inside the crater, before continuing your search for wildlife still unseen. In late afternoon you will leave crater to Lodge or Campsite for dinner and overnight
Day 3: Ngorongoro-Serengeti
Early morning breakfast then drive to Serengeti National Park, with en-route game drives on the plains of Serengeti. This is the home to wildebeests (Gnu) zebras, lions, cheetahs, leopards and different birds. Dinner and overnight at Campsite or Lodge
Day 4: Serengeti
The whole day will be spent on a game drive in the Serengeti National Park. During the short rainy season in November and December the herds move from the hills in the north to the plains in the south while during the longer rainy season from April to June they return back up north. This circle of life is determined by the rainfalls and locations of the herds might vary from year to year but your guide will know where to find the animals and where to see them best. A visit to the Serengeti Visitor Centre is also possible. Here you can learn more about the history of the park and the research that is being done by the Frankfurter Zoological Society. You will spend another night at Campsite or Lodge
