Culture &Wildlife safari, The Great Northern Tanzania Safari ,This seven days safari and culture package brings you to the northern circuit including Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara National Park, Tarangire National park, Lake Eyasi and a day with the Hadzabe bushmen.
Day 1 – Safari to Lake Eyasi
We start the day early and drive by to the beautiful Lake Eyasi on the edge of the savannah, home to monkeys, hippopotamus, pelicans and flamingos. Here you will visit the village of Mongola and see how people from the Barabaig tribe live. Around lunch time you will take a break to enjoy your lunchbox in the shadow of a big tree. You will enjoy the night at the peaceful lodge called Tindiga Tented Camp or Similar
Day 2 – A day with Bushmen
This day you will be a part of the native traditions of thee Hadzabe tribe and go hunting with them and gather honey or insects, which still is their livelihood in addition to hunting gazelles and antelopes with bows strung with giraffe sinew. Today as well you will enjoy a delicious lunch out in the nature. Tonight you will sleep at Crater Forest Lodge, preparing for tomorrows adventure – experiencing one of the worlds greatest natural spectacles wonder.
Day 3 – Ngorongoro crater
After an early breakfast at day break, we drive down to the Ngorongoro crater, which used to be an enormous volcano. This unique crater is around 20 km in diameter and over 600 meters deep and encompasses a nature conservation area full of elephants, zebras, lions and other animals. The half nomadic Maasai tribe often come to the crater to grace their cows. Around mid day you will have to leave the crater, and then you head for the famous Serengeti, ready for the magnificent view of the multitude of wildlife. On the way, we pass through the Olduvai Gorge, the cradle of mankind, where the oldest known remains of our forefathers can be found. Tonight you will enjoy your relaxing stay at Serengeti Katikati Tented Camp or Lodge.
Day 4 – Serengeti National Park
Today you will enjoy a full day game drive in the world famous Serengeti national park, the setting of many nature films and even the Lion King. You have to be prepared for anything because the quiet savannahs of Serengeti and the wild Great Rift Valley will both give you unforgettable memories of animal interactions. Tonight you will go back to Serengeti Katikati Tented Camp for another good dinner and peaceful sleep.
Day 5 – Serengeti – hunt for the migration
Full day safari in Serengeti where we try to get as close to the wild animals as possible and learn about their habits. If the season is right, our main aim will be to see the migration – a spectacle of millions of wildebeest, zebra and Thomsons gazelle on their yearly pilgrimage. Day 6 – Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, we drive to the salt lake of Manyara. The lake, covered with beautiful pink flamingoes gives you a calm and romantic feeling. But Lake Manyara National Park is not only known by its flamingoes but also its tree climbing lions, baboon troops and elephants. Tonight you sleep and dine at the nice Lake Manyara Wildlife Lodge.
Day 7 – Tarangire National Park
A couple of hours before breakfast you have the option of going on an early morning game drive to try to see the lions before they go to bed. After breakfast you head to Tarangire for an all day safari before returning to Arusha town. Tarangire are well known for it’s multitude of wildlife, especially during the dry seasons.
