Day 5: Western Serengeti- Central Serengeti
After breakfast enjoy a full day game drive in the Western Corridor. The key feature in the Western Corridor is the Grumeti and Mbalageti rivers, running almost parallel to each other, each support a band of evergreen forest. The rivers sustain a permanent game population of zebra, wildebeest, all the predators and birdlife. It is also possible to find large pods of hippo’s and huge crocodiles in the Grumeti River. The wildebeest normally gather around waterholes midmorning in such densities, that they look like ants swarming around a nest.
In mid afternoon you will drive to Seronera (Central Serengeti) for dinner and overnight at Camp or Lodge
Day 6: Serengeti-Ngorongoro
We start the day with an early morning game drive before heading to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Ngorongoro is a special place in that it is a Conservation Area, not a National Park; this means that the whole area is managed for both the animals and the local Masai people who graze their cattle alongside the indigenous wildlife. During the drive in Ngorongoro we have( OPTION for extra cost) to glimpse something of the Masai way of life. After stopping at the entrance gate, where there is a chance to learn more about this fascinating volcanic landscape, we will drive around the rim of the Crater itself, and from here we can look down and see the herd of wildebeest or buffalos. This truly world-class attraction is also known as the ’8th Wonder of the World’. Our dinner and overnight stay is at the rustic Ngorongoro
Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater-Arusha
After breakfast, finally we descend into the crater. The crater walls provide a natural sanctuary for the animals, which means there is plenty to see: lions, elephants, buffalo, rhino and leopard (if you are lucky). The only animal you won’t see in here is a giraffe, whose long legs are unable to cope with the steeps sides of the crater. In afternoon we travel just outside of Ngorongoro crater to Arusha for your Home flight transfer or other destination
